
This logo delivers a more modern and abstract feel whish is clean and simplistic, yet with traditional elements. The Pesilat is shown displaying his Silat skill. The Pesilat image is also interlocked with a Tanjak – which is a traditional costume used in the Malay Archipelago . It was also used to be worn by the ‘pendekars' in the early days. The color green conveys the message of freshness and originality.
The theme of this year's National Pencak Silat Championship is Passion, Sacrifice and Kinship. Passion depicts the exponents a strong enthusiasm and desire to be the nation's best. Sacrifice is the athletes' laying down their time, sweat and tears for the sake of winning. And Kinship is the affinity amongst clubs, pesilats and the fraternity in general that is most important to achieve.
